Apple iPods are great contributors to the company’s success. There are a lot of MP3 players available in the market today. But what makes Apple iPod the best among the rest? We’ll try to discover things that will change your opinion about iPod and how it can be your best buddy for digital entertainment.

There is no doubt that iPod is one of the most selling MP3 player since its release. Other manufacturers like Microsoft with there Zune, Sony with their versions of Sony Walkman, Philips with their own MP3 player, and other established companies are close competitors of Apple vying for the prize of getting the most number of consumers for a certain release. However, it is clear the iPod will still receive the recognition because of its innovative features.

iPod Touch with its multi-touch feature. So far, no other MP3 player manufacturer aside from Apple has ever built a player with the multi-touch feature. There are players in the market designed with a touch-screen feature, but this is totally behind the multi-touch. A touch-screen player can only sense a command from one point of the display. While a multi-touch player senses multi commands through different points of the display. Executing commands through combinations of touches. No need to stylus, bare hands can be used to issue the commands.

Tilt-sensor on iPod adds another advantage from other players. The tilt-sensor automatically detects the position of the player and accordingly adjusts the presentation of images to the display. Images are presented either portrait or landscape view. The tilt-sensor allows the player to convert to shuffle mode once the command is sensed.

Size, weight, and designs are factors separating iPod from the rest. iPod Shuffle can play up to 240 songs with its miniature size smaller than a match box. First generation of the iPod shuffle can hold data of up to 512 MB, but that successors are more robust and are provided with bigger data storage. The forth generation iPod Shuffle can store up to 2GB of data considering its size. In addition, these players come in various colors perfect for ones taste.

Battery lifespan of these players are totally impressive. A full charge of the iPod Shuffle’s battery can accompany a user with continuous playing of songs for up to 12 to 14 hours. Newer versions can provide longer playing time.

Newer generations of iPod players are using flash memory in replacement of hard drive. This reduces the risk of damaging the unit due to system failures brought by damage hard drives. Most players shipped in the market today still use the hard drive to store data on the player. Moreover, an iPod can be used as a regular flash drive. Several iPod players can be used to store other types of data aside from audio, image, or video file common supported by iPod.

When you are not used to laptop computer, you may take them to be of the same make, after all they do the same jobs and tasks. But before buying a notebook computer, you must first compare them depending on the tasks you want to use it for. You must know that if you buy suck a computer, you will gain such a satisfaction.

Laptops are categorized in 5 categories:-

· Ultraportables laptops

· Thin & Lights laptops

· Standard Laptops

· Desktop Replacements laptops

· Tablet PC’s laptops

The laptop you are to buy must follow in one of the above categories. Hopefully this will aid you in your decision-making process as to what category of laptop best fits your specific needs and lifestyle. Down on this page I will give a belief description of the above types, hope it will give you a picture to buy. When you perform a laptop comparison always consider your primary laptop needs based on what you’ll spend most of your time doing with your laptop.

As an example, many standard laptops don’t come with video cards that have dedicated VRAM (video memory). These laptop computers have integrated graphics that use shared system RAM.

However, there are standard laptops that come with excellent Video Cards and dedicated VRAM. If you’ll be doing a lot of gaming, photo-editing, or movie watching; these are the specs to watch out for.

Just pay close attention to the specs of the individual laptop model in light of your most frequent laptop usage needs. Now let’s take a look at a laptop comparison of the five categories and see which is best suited to your needs.

Ultraportables.

Portability is what every one is looking for in a laptop. Not everyone wants to run through day eo day business of computer looking like a donkey. With an ultraportable notebook you can do anything swiftly.

Compact Size of a notebook is a must not jump: Pack your smallest bag because the ultraportable has few demands. The extra room you have in your luggage can accommodate a projector or printer. If you are a field working office, you need to have a laptop that matches with you.

Standard Laptops.

In most cases, standard notebooks are configurable with DVD-ROM or CD-RW choices, with DVD/CD-RW drives becoming very popular. It is the best to have if you are a fun of music like me. And what is good is that it has the absolute Best Price. though they are heavier compared to ultraportable notebooks, they are at least cheap and performs many tasks at ago.

Thin & Lights.

When it comes to portability these laptops are the best to buy. Sporting faster mobile processors, they whiz through most apps and you’re generally well under the six pound weight class.

Another thing is that Most thin-and-lights laptops have a 14-inch display, which is fine for viewing everything from e-mail and web pages to Word and Excel docs.

Desktop Replacements.

Gaming, graphics, call it anything as far as a computer is concerned, this type of laptops is the best for that job. With its wide screens and sharp displays it can do anything you want with the computer. Their fast CPUs and upgraded video chips make these notebooks just as good at Quicken as they are at playing Quake.

Tablet PC’s laptops.

Students and field offices like suck notebooks because of their make. The tablet’s touch screen and stylus work together to let you use the system in the crook of your arm. This is a desirable feature in some professions such as medicine.

Handwriting Recognition:

Scribble or jot notes, and your tablet will convert your writing to editable text.

Two Viewing Modes:

Tablets can be viewed in the regular landscape mode or pivoted on end, switching the orientation to a portrait mode that resembles an 8.5 x 11 writing pad.

So the next time you want to buy a notebook computer, first have a comparison so that you know what you will get and what you miss.

There is no doubt email has revolutionized the way we communicate with one another. Millions of emails are transmitted daily throughout the world to everyone connected to the Internet. The question is, how do you know which emails are legitimate and which ones compromise your computer protection and internet security? If you think you know, you may be in for a little surprise.

What if someone told you they could become anyone you know (or any business, for that matter) without your knowledge? Some may think this is ridiculous, but it is not far from the truth. Complete strangers can take your email address and email anyone they wanted… all without knowing your email username and password. If they want, they can even attach malware (short for malicious software) to the emails that can evade antivirus protection and other forms of computer protection. So how do you know if an email came from someone you know versus a complete stranger that just used their email address?

Granted, the majority of email you receive is probably legitimate, but it is important to know the above exists. In fact, malicious emails are most commonly used to exploit your computer protection and personal vulnerabilities in three ways.

1. Entice you to download and run an email attachment with cloaked malware

2. Entice you to open up an email with malicious scripting

3. Entice you to forfeit personal and sensitive information

To protect yourself and your system from these email exploits, you can not strictly rely on computer protection and internet security software since they will never give you 100% security. Knowing this, you’ll now learn proper personal and computer protection measures by looking for the appropriate signs of malicious emails.

The first thing to know is each part of an email can be randomly altered either by a hacker or a computer worm to look unique and legitimate. This includes:

1. The To:, From:, CC: and BCC: fields

2. The Subject line

3. The Body text

4. The email attachment name

5. The email attachment extension (i.e. .exe, .zip, etc.)

While antivirus software can not provide 100% computer protection, it definitely helps in detecting malicious emails. Antivirus software aside though, you need to analyze all your email before opening anything. If you don’t know the sender, if the subject sounds bogus, or common words or names are spelled awkwardly, it should raise a red flag. Even if the email looks like it came from someone you know, it never hurts to get a confirmation. In short, if the email looks suspicious, don’t open it!

Identifying malicious email without attachments or code in them is a different story. These emails are called phishing emails because they lure you to reveal personal information. They usually look like they come from companies and entice you to either click on a web link or call a phone number.

If you stumble into phishing emails, the two most important things to remember are first, never click on links in an email. If an email asks you to click on a web link, open up a web browser and manually type it in. Second, if you are unsure of the email’s integrity, go to the company’s website, contact their customer service department, and inquire about the email.

While the above are the two core things to always consider when looking for phishing emails, it never hurts to have additional layers of computer protection. With that in mind, download a free legitimate anti-phishing toolbar and make sure your antivirus software has the most recent updates on it.

Email is a wonderful thing; just know that malicious email can bypass computer protection and internet security. With people and computer worms having the capability of emulating any person or company, you always need to stay alert and analyze each and every email. By following these strategies and tactics for identifying emails, you will be steps ahead of the typical Internet user and dramatically increase your computer protection and internet security.

Here is the problem.

When I bought my iPod Touch I registered it to a computer. When I try to plug it into a different computer, it warns me that I will lose all my applications if I switch computers. The original computer that I registered my iPod to no longer exists so I need a new host computer.

I do not want to lose the information on my iPod, they are too important. How can I change computers without losing the info on my iPod?

Thank you.

You need to authorize your new itunes library with the SAME itunes account you used to purchase your old apps. You can re-download any application after you have bought it from the itunes store as many times you want.

After you authorized your new computer right click or control click the ipod tab then click "Transfer purchased music and video" for any songs or movies you bought from the itunes store

If you want to back up music/videos you downloaded from other sources like Amazon.ca to your new computer, please try
http://www.getsharepod.com/ it is a free automatic backup solution that supports all ipod models.

Which Anti-virus security could protect my computer from viruses, worms, hackers, and just keeps my computer safe.

Anything is worth being protected.

Good question. :)

I’ll let you take your pick becuase there are 4 great internet security suites.
Kaspersky Internet Security
Norton Internet Security
Panda Internet Security
ESET Smart Security

I currently use Kaspersky, and I’ve tried the latest version of Norton. I know that Panda works because I’ve used it before and a friend of mine that has sells it and uses it tells me that it’s way faster and better than before, and I’ve read several reviews on ESET.

It really depends on the things you do on your computer.
Kaspersky is great, but some people complain about the cost, which at the moment is irrelevant because with their holiday sell it’s currently the cheapest one.
Norton is great, but it doesn’t have as many features as Kaspersky.
Panda is great, but has a terrible costumer support because it’s an European security software.
ESET is great specially because it uses very low resources, but it lacks on antiphishing.

So if you just want the best protection. Any of those will work. I can’t test their detection rates, but I’ve read several reviews on each, which lead me to the conclusion that all of them are good.

With that said, I’m sure that you’re looking for the best one to protect your computer and probably the best for your pocket too. So I’m going to recommend Kaspersky Internet Security.

How do I sync my ipod to my new laptop (on a new itunes)without completely erasing the music and videos that I have on it? Is there a way I can save all the music I have on the ipod now somewhere onto the computer, erase what’s on the ipod, and later add the files back into the new itunes? Or is there an easier way of doing things? Please help, itunes sucks and I have no idea how to do this!

Just dont sync your ipod.

Connect your ipod to whatever computer you are using it with now and and click manually manage music.

Once it is manually managed you can use your ipod on a 100 diff computers if you want with as many diff itunes accounts as you want.

If you need to transfer your music and videos from your ipod to your new computer or vice versa just get a program called Music Rescue by kennettnet. You can get this for free at download.com. It will scan your itunes library and your ipod and tell you which songs are on your ipod but not in your itunes library. You can then choose which songs and videos you want to copy to your computer and add them to itunes. It is safe with no spyware or anything.

If you are going to use your ipod on several computers then just dont sync. You just drag and drop the songs and playlists you want onto your ipod from itunes. If you want to delete a song then you just right click that song in your ipod and delete it.

I have 5 computers with vista or can be XP and i want to conect a main computer to all to have control conecting to internet and printing. how can i do this?

I would not use a computer to control the network. Use a router – that’s what it is designed to do.
As far as printing, you can use a network print server or just share printers connected to the computers on the network

I had downloaded and BOUGHT Security Tool to protect my PC about a month back. It was doing a great job with protection. I think one of my kids accidentally deleted or uninstalled it from my computer being that when I click on the shortcut it says "this shortcut has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly." Is there a way I can fix this or recover my Security Tool. It was supposed to protect my computer for 2 yrs. Please help

it’s a scam i had to put my computer in safe mode because of the constant pop ups. i never bought it it just found it’s way onto my computer somehow. trust me you are better without it. i’m still searcing for ways to get that BS off my computer.

What you need to do before looking into an mp3 player, first you need to know how you want to use it, and how much music you want to be able to have on it. There is no doubt that the Apple iPod has become a common item amongst today’s youth as a great music player. In fact, the iPod is more than a music player.

If your digital music collection remains relatively small, you’re probably better off with an iPod mini. But if it takes 30 days to play your music collection from end to end, if you’d like to use the iPod’s, with the iPods additional space for file storage and now the battery life has been extended the new iPods are incredible.

Everyone knows that Apple owns the mp3 business. The incredible look, sound, style, the navigation and features put this all together with the integration with software program iTunes and other mp3 services, this is an incredible revolutionary advancement in the mp3 player world. MP3 audio encoded at up to 320Kbps. Not only do they have the normal features of a mobile phone but they’re also adopting a higher standard of digital camera and a built in MP3 player.

The Apple Video Ipod. 5-inch screen on the iPod video is incredibly bright and sharp and and it great when you want to watch videos on it, the screen measures 320×240. Today’s devices are able to hold 20,000 – 25,000 photos and are able to play 50-100 hours of video and can hold up to 8,000 songs, this is an incredible achievement

This year, the Nano was introduced, to a huge customer buying frenzy. With its small compact design and packed with an incredible amount of flash memory storage than the any other mp3 out there, the Apple iPod Nano is slim, light weight and the convenience and portability is unmatched in with all other devices. Depending on the storage capacity of the device you are able to get them in different sizes, 1 GB, 2 GB or 4 GB.

If you want to buy second hand there is the earlier models like iPod Photo, iPod mini and 1st, 2nd 3rd and 4th generation iPods. It was designed to replace the iPod Mini and neatly fills the gap that the iPod Mini left. It was introduced to replace the iPod mini, which was discontinued. Many people could not believe when Apple discontinued its mini device, this took everyone by surprise, everyone wanted to know what flash system was replacing it, and there was no advanced notice for all of this.

The small iPod shuffle was designed to be light weight, super-mobile, you can wear the device around your neck this makes it possible to listen to music when in a gym, walking or running or riding a bike. The most notable feature of the iPod Shuffle is its physical dimensions.

One of the best things about the iPod is that it has a simple user interface, it can store many videos, songs and information, it is light weight and it looks great and very recognizable.
