The Real Hardware Secrets of Faster Computers
Author: admin
This article deals with personal computers ones for home or small business use. Vendors or people that sell you computers will try to convince you that CPU (microprocessor) speed or model. Play the most important part in determining a computers speed this is false the most important is RAM size. Providing the same operating system e.g. Windows XP is the same.
People underestimate the importance of ram, because they do not know how it works in the computer. Imagine you are cooking in your kitchen and the meal is your computer output. The kitchen is your computer system the kitchen cabinets and the refrigerator are your hard drive the cook or you is the CPU. The Kitchen table is the ram. The oven and the stove are your output devices e.g… Printer, audio and display. The larger your kitchen table the faster and more complex of a meal you can complete with your kitchen. As is the larger the ram is the faster your computer is.
People who play video games should avoid computers with onboard video. Because computer games need video ram. Recommend at least 128 megabyte video card and you should be able to play most games. The computer can do most of its for playing games in the video card, hence a faster video card means faster computing. Here again microprocessor speed will not increase your video game performance nearly as much as a better video card.
Hard drives there are three types Parallel, Sata and SCSI. SCSI also known as Skuzzy is the fastest but also is very expensive. Most computer use parallel it is the most common type and the slowest. The new type Sata or serial hard drive is quicker than parallel, but not as expensive as skuzzy. If you do allot of work with data make sure your computer has a serial hard drive. Remember you need a mother board that supports serial hard drive the older ones do not.
In conclusion don’t spend money on a quicker microprocessor for a faster computer.

I have 5 computers with vista or can be XP and i want to conect a main computer to all to have control conecting to internet and printing. how can i do this?
I would not use a computer to control the network. Use a router – that’s what it is designed to do.
As far as printing, you can use a network print server or just share printers connected to the computers on the network
How hard is it becoming a computer security specialist?
Author: admin
I was wondering if you have to be good at math, if the college degrees are expensive, what college degrees to get, where to go, and basically anything else that anybody knows about computer security specialists. Computer security specialists or just someone who knows about them please answer this, it is much appreciated.
It’s not difficult at all, IMHO. Most of the degree is procedural in terms of planning & implementing. The first couple of years are more like a business course. I found the law portions annoying.
You don’t have to be "good at math". You would just have to be able to get at least Cs in basic to intermediate Algebra (depends on the school).
I would recommend you go to your local technical college and see if they offer an Associate’s level program there. It’s a lot cheaper to do the first 2 years at the technical level and the last 2 years (assuming you’re even interested in Bachelor’s level) at a university than to do all 4 years at the university level. You will save a tremendous amount of money like this.
It’s a good field to go into. It pays well and is a growing industry in the IT field, but be prepared for a lot of business politics :/
Misconceptions Regarding Fm Modulation Ipod Kits
Author: admin
We have been hitting stumbling blocks recently with misconceived ideas about FM Modulation when connecting an Apple iPod into your vehicle. Understandably, people get confused between Modulation and Transmission. We are here to set the record straight as these thoughts couldn’t be further from the truth.
Here are a few questions that we get asked and our answers:
Will I receive interference?
Absolutely not, no. There are a number of features that make sure this isn’t possible with Modulation;
It doesn’t transmit through airwaves as it is fully hard wired so radio stations signals cannot be received by your iPods signal.
As its fully hard-wired, the iPods signal is being sent down a wire, just like you would expect from an Auxiliary wire or a CD Changer wire.
The Modulator kits have a electrical "on/off" switch which physically block out your cars aerial when the iPod is connected to the kit, meaning that your aerial isn’t even connected.
Does it charge the iPod?
It does indeed. All the iPods will receive a full charge from the iPod car kit.
How hard is it to install?
Installation takes about 30 minutes at the maximum. The kit just needs to plug in to the rear of the stereo, it’s that simple.
How good will the audio quality be?
This will be similar to what you would expect from DAB, very close to CD Quality. On 99.9% of installations, you won’t be able to tell the difference between the iPod and you’re CDs, especially when you take into account the road noise coming from the car.
Why can’t I have a fully integrated kit like the Dension Gateway devices or the Dice Electronics Car Kits?
There are a few things that might stop you being able to use a fully integrated kit:
Your stereo doesn’t have a CD Changer port, therefore not being able to connect into the cars stereo
Your stereo simply isn’t good enough; this could be due to the lack of processing speed, the lack of software support or even because it is too advanced!
You just might not want to spend the amount of money that a fully integrated car kit costs
Are there any advantages of having a Modulator over an integrated kit?
There are a few, yes. Firstly the price, the Universal Modulator kits from Dension and Dice come in at approx £30 cheaper than a fully integrated iPod Car Kit. Secondly, the kits come as standard with the iPod connection, unlike the integrated kits where you have to add the cable or cradle into the kit. Thirdly, the installation can be easier; it could save you an hour of labour!
We hope this might clear a few things up for you guys

Custom Gaming Computers: Why Build your Own?
Author: admin
If you plan on owning a powerful gaming computer to play the latest games on, there’s really only one way to go about it. Build your own.
Building your own custom gaming computer has many advantages over buying a complete, ready-built PC. It’s also very easy to do, you don’t need to be a computer whizz at all to build a computer.
All it involves is buying all your computer components separately, and putting them together with basic tools. The components you choose will be carefully selected according to performance and price, so you get the most bang for your buck.
Let’s look at the three main reasons someone would want to build a custom gaming computer:
Save Money: By carefully buying each part of your gaming computer separately, you can potentially save lots of money. The trick is to find quality components at great prices.
Better Performance: If you’re after a decent gaming rig, complete ready-made PCs simply won’t cut it. Custom gaming computers can be specifically built for performance to handle all your gaming needs.
Knowledge and Experience: By building your own gaming computer you will naturally learn a lot about computers and how they work.
These are just some of the benefits of building custom gaming computers. So if your current PC slows to a crawl whilst running your favorite games and you are in need of a new beast, consider building your own gaming computer next time.

Network security is one of the most important factors to be considered while setting up a network at home or at the office. An unsecured network will result in loss of information and data. Network Security in Austin Texas plays a very important role to the people of Texas as their computers may be given a potential threat from the internet.
More over cyber crimes are increasing tremendously these days which is to be considered as a matter of great importance. Austin Texas Network Security should be strengthened by all the computer users of Texas so that they can be safe about their data and information.
Most people in Texas do not still know what network security is and the dangers that can be caused by the security breach. Any one can get into the computer of an unsecured or unprotected network and can use the data or information that is available in the system.
If the Austin Texas Network Security is too weak then hackers can easily modify the data or even destroy the data present in the computer. Network Security in Austin Texas depends on the protection and the security of the network in which the computer is connected to.
Network security is basically not about updating programs in the system and rather it is removing the malware, spyware and other intruding programs that damage the capability of the system. Network Security in Austin Texas should be made available to all the people in the city and everyone should be aware of the potential dangers of an unsecured network.
Austin Texas Network Security comes into a role where the people of the city are working with an always on internet connection where the chances of getting a security breach are high. With high speed internet connections coming to reality people should be very much aware of the network security.
Every person in the city of Texas who has a system and which is connected to a network which can be a local area network or a wide area network should be very careful about his network. Austin Texas Network Security is used by the people only when their system is affected by a virus program or there has been a loss of data in their system.
Most companies forget the danger of an unsecured network which can result in a great loss to the company as the company secrets and their information can go destroyed without Network security in Austin Texas. If one system is affected by a virus which is connected to an unsecured network every person in that network has the chance of getting that virus very easily if Austin Texas Network Security not proper.
A malicious code can cause the whole system to crash without the knowledge of the user of the system if the Network security in Austin Texas is weak. The damage is very strong that even a bank’s network or an airline or any company in the city can be completely shut down due to poor Austin Texas Network Security.
The damages due to these are increasing every year and so the people should be careful about their computers and make sure it is secured while it is connected to a network.

It’s detected fine, but I’d like to restore the music on my computer from my ipod, since my computer no longer has a copy. My ipod is detected as a camera though. Can anyone help me fix it?
Actually, there is no way to copy music from your iPod to your computer officially. There are programs out there that will let you do this, but it is not from Apple.
On my iPod Touch 2G and iPhone 4, I have installed an app through Cydia called "myTunes." Basically, myTunes will put your music in the directory "var/mobile/media/myTunes." Then, using SSH, you can copy these music files back to your PC.
The only downside to this is that you have to jailbreak (not really a bad thing, but it takes time to do sometimes) and that you have to deal with sending stuff wirelessly to your PC (the speed of this depends on the connection, but it’ll take some). A better way is to actually downgrade a program that will allow you to do this. You will need to look these programs up on Google to decide which is best for you.
I hope this helps!
The computers at my library make it so you can install anything and download stuff but when the computer is restarted everything is back to the original stuff and it is clean. Is there software or something to do this?
That would use a specialized disk-protection program that is set to reverse ANY changes that occurs on the hard drive and reset it back during restart or logout.
ome examples of such programs include Deep Freeze and Clean Slate.
My boyfriend will be a May 2009 graduate with a degree in computer security. He has no work experience (other than bussing tables). Any ideas of good degree-related jobs he could start with?
As an alternative to bussing tables rather than an instant career, Helpdesk in any company is often a good gateway to a more advanced IT career where it’s not just a phone logging service.. Very few people spend long in Helpdesk if they show any technical apptitude!!
