So i have my ipod video and i only use my desktop to sync. i was wondering what will happen if i charge it to my laptop that has empty itunes. will it sync and delete all my songs from my ipod? or will the songs on my ipod transfer to the empty itunes?
thnx for reading!
If you have the setting wrong, you could end up messing up your ipod (at least it has happened to me). Try opening up the version you have on your laptop WITHOUT having the ipod plugged in, then go to edit>preferences>syncing and check the box with "disable syncing for all ipods." This should turn off the auto synch function, and at least let you charge the thing. The other option is to use Winamp, which now supports ipods pretty well. It doesn’t seem to mess anything up, but any changes will be undone when you synch to the itunes on your PC.
I’m not aware of any way to put the music from your ipod onto a clean version of itunes (otherwise I could download the music from my buddies ipod to my computer, which would be sweet…) Anyone know if this is possible?

I need to connect 2 computers, that are about 2 miles apart. Each computer has its own high speed cable internet connection. I need each computer to be able to access files from the other. Is there a cheap/some what secure way of doing this?
VPN tunnel from network A to network B. Then enable file sharing on the drives or directories you want shared. you most likely will not need any additional hardware. Simply open the ports on your routers, choose a VPN application and you should be able to do this with no problem.
My computer is heavily infected with viruses, trojans, etc. Which security product will give me the most bang for my buck?
McAfee Security Suite is good.
I tried to restore my ipod the other day, but there was an error, and it is now stuck in recovery mode.
I have an ipod touch 4g and i am running the latest version of itunes, and i have tried to restore it on two different computers.
Whenever i try to restore it, it comes up with the error " The ipod could not be restored. An unknown error occured (20008)"
Please help. Also, resetting the ipod with the home/lock keys doesnt resolve it.
stop in the Apple store and ask the Genius bar.
They can do it for you in a couple minutes
You know how when you download something it will give you a key and you can have it on like 3 computers? Like with Microsoft Office? Is it Like that With Rpg Maker Xp? And if so how many computers can you have it on?
Freeware usually has no limits, and if it is not freeware you are allowed 2 personal copies in most all cases…

Apple’s iPods have been very successful and as a result there have been a lot of accessories made for all of the different iPod models that have been released. The accessories add all sorts of weird and wonderful functions to the MP3 players. Here are just a few examples; TuneStream: There were many rumours circulating before the release of the second generation iPod Touch that Bluetooth would feature on the device but this turned out not to be the case. Due to the players not having the ability to connect via Bluetooth this has enabled companies to bring out accessories that can be fitted to the iPod and that then allow them to have Bluetooth connectivity as an option. There are however a few unresolved issues with the device such as a few little unresolved quirks and also, it doesn’t work with all iPods so it is worth checking the internet for a full list of iPod models that will be compatible. Marware Game Grip: This add-on is the perfect job for those iPod Touch and iPhone users who enjoy playing games on their device. This product is $50 and at first glance it does sound very expensive for what it is, which is basically a case for your player, however; when you think about the benefits it will add to your gaming experience, you scan suddenly start to see its worth. The Marware Game Grip adds sturdy handles to your iPod Touch or iPhone and therefore makes it easier to play the games and also allows for more manoeuvrability when taking advantage of the games accelerometer. These are just a couple of the many iPod accessories that are now available to buy for your iPod and there are many that really add to these popular devices.
Accessories for your iPod are everywhere now and some can really add to the MP3 players . The Marware Game Grip is perfect to use when playing games on your iPod Touch or iPhone. There are now many iPod accessories that you can buy for your device.

Computers and Viruses

History shows that in 1982 a man called Rich Skrenta made the first virus and put it “in the wild”. This means that the virus infected systems other than the one where it was created and tested. Today experts tell us that we are loosing the war against the viruses. Mikko Hypponen who is believed to be with much influence in Internet says: “This is not just a battle between manufacturers of security software and some internet criminals. It is a war between good and evil”.
Microsoft describes the virus as a small program designed to interfere with the computer system and usually take control over it. One of its main functions is to spread around the net to other users and for this it usually uses the e-mail software or instant message tools.
The damage that a virus could make is usually permanent. It can erase data, it can change it on a way that is no longer useable or it can delete your whole hard drive. Some viruses of course don’t target the data. They spy on your activity and warn their creators about it. In fact we can’t predict what the next virus could do. It is a program like all your software. It can do anything.
When talking about viruses most inexperienced users imagine horrible things because the very word virus terrifies them. Others take it very lightly saying: “What is the worse that can happen? I’ll just reinstall some software…” But where these frivolous thoughts end and begin the real problem?
To be infected could be a crime by itself. Imagine yourself working on a big corporation that in every moment dependents on the Internet and on every computer system in it. If your system is infected the infrastructure of the corporation is at stake because you are part of this infrastructure.
If we check the news we will see things like ReverseClick.A is a Trojan that disables some of your primary programs like task manger and registry editor, it swaps you mouse buttons and do a lot of things that you won’t like. XPCSpy can hide itself using some advanced technologies know as rootkits, Piggi.B conceal itself in the well known browser Internet Explorer and every time the user runs it the system is “updated” again with the virus code. The list of news goes on and every day new viruses appears to threaten our systems.
“When this will end?” you may ask but no ending is foreseen. The only protection against viruses today is the anti-virus.
Anti-virus is software that works on different modes. In real time mode it checks all system activity and looks for malicious codes that are executed in the system. In scanning mode it can checks all files for the core code of different viruses or parts of them. Usually good anti-virus software can prevent most infections before they are able to do damage. It is very important for the protection software to be updated on regular bases because it uses different virus definitions that you need to have. In a bad day anti-virus companies receives more then 40000 possible virus codes and they work very hard on making a definition and a way to disinfect the system. This is why an update is always required and a good way to do that is to set your auto update option on.
There is no way to be sure if your system is clean and you are safe to work. That’s why many people choose to have some experienced people working for them to prevent data stealing or deletion. One good virus removal company is Rescue Techusa .
